Music Manuscript for the Advanced 1 Syllabus.
The traditional Cecchetti exercises at the barre remain as an essential part of the syllabus, but a number of additional exercises are now included, introducing a variety of time signatures, as well as more use of port de bras, changes of weight and demi-pointe.
Some adjustments have been made in the order of the exercises of the Adage, Pirouette and Allegro sections and - in addition to the traditional exercises - a few new set studies have been introduced.
The Pointe Work section has been very considerably strengthened. This now provides a logical development from the Elementary syllabus as well as a fuller preparation for the Advanced work.
